My path to becoming a home inspector started at age 16, working alongside my uncle who was a general contractor. I spent years learning every layer of a house from the ground up, including framing, roofing, siding, sheetrock, windows, decks, sunrooms, and full-scale remodels. Working closely in a small operation under his guidance meant getting hands-on experience with every phase of construction and learning how every system inside a home works together over time.

Over the decades, from growing up in New Ulm to spending six years in Richmond, returning to New Ulm, and now settling in St. Peter, I have remained deeply connected to Southern Minnesota. Even as my career expanded into managing concrete supply, automotive parts, marine sales, and electrical distribution departments, I stayed active doing trade and handyman work on nights and weekends. 

When I stopped traveling for work and established DS Home Solutions LLC in St. Peter, adding certified home inspections in 2026 was the natural next step. Today, I combine over 30 years of raw structural experience, technical supply knowledge, and a commitment to protecting local homeowners.
